Adirondack Garnet has arrived at Sparkle in Lake Placid, NY

NEW Arrival At Sparkle in Lake Placid.  Adirondack Garnet.  Did you know Garnet is the NY State stone?

This garnet is mined at North River, NY. Not too far from Lake Placid.  They do Adirondack Earrings, Necklaces and charms are coming shortly.  The adk necklaces have an 18in sterling silver chain, a sterling silver charm and a dangle peace of the beautiful stone.  The necklaces pictured on the birch display has a pine cone and garnet, moose and garnet, adk chair and garnet.

Garnet was commercially mined in the Adirondacks starting in the mid 1800's as an abrasive. Gem quality stones are a rare find.  Garnet is the official New York State stone and January birthstone.  Stop in to see what's here.  I will try to feature different lines each week so stay tuned.
